Warranty and sharpening service
Our knives are covered by a lifetime warranty. This warranty provides protection against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies exclusively to knife products. If the product fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it free of charge at our discretion. Only original and unaltered items are covered by this warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or similar. Damage not covered by the warranty may be repaired at a reasonable cost, if necessary. In such cases, a shipping fee will also be charged.
Messerlabor gives a sharpness guarantee on the expected wear and tear of the knife blades. This guarantee includes the restoration of the original sharpness of the knife blade that was lost in the course of use, which you can claim every 4 months for each knife. The shipping costs (outward and return shipping) are to be borne by you. HERE you can purchase the shipping labels, which we will then send to you by email. The delivery must only take place in the original shipping packaging delivered by Messerlabor together with the knife. Messerlabor will then sharpen your knife free of charge and send it back to you in your original shipping packaging within 2 weeks to the address you specified.
Messerlabor products are made individually for you from only the best materials and in excellent quality. However, knife blades and knife tips in particular can be sensitive to mechanical damage due to their filigree shape and sometimes low material thickness. Please understand that Messerlabor cannot take over the sharpening of the blade as a service if the knives are used improperly . Messerlabor cannot assume any liability for damage to the knife that occurs as a result of improper or inappropriate use.
