Natural wood

This handle material is a natural raw material. Whether plum, walnut, amaranth or padauk, natural wood is cut, dried and finally CNC milled by us.

Benefits

  • Naturally occurring and sustainable material
  • Good feel

Disadvantage

  • Relatively soft material
  • Natural materials (minimal) contract and expand with time
  • Regular maintenance to keep it weatherproof
  • Care: rub with oil every 4-6 weeks (e.g. Ballistol universal oil, linseed oil or Hermann Sachse hard oil)

Raffir® stabilized wood

This hybrid material combines wood and synthetic resin. The wood is placed in a synthetic resin bath and the air is sucked out of the porous wood under vacuum. The liquid synthetic resin penetrates the wood completely, making it weatherproof, durable and hard.

If the synthetic resin is colored, different colors can be realized.

Raffir® Noble

Raffir® Noble is a hybrid material with fine layers of brass and bronze weave encapsulated in a translucent synthetic resin. The material has unique three-dimensional textures with contrasts between brass, bronze and deeply colored, semi-transparent resin.

Raffir® Noble SFX Uranium

Raffir® Noble SFX Uranium is also a hybrid material with fine layers of brass fabric encapsulated in a translucent resin. If the SFX Uranium is exposed to light for a sufficient amount of time, it glows green-yellow in the dark and slightly bluish in UV light outdoors.

Raffir® Stripes

Raffir® Stripes is a hybrid material made from natural plant fibers paired with a specially adapted epoxy-based plastic. The result is a unique 3D effect made up of the dark, semi-transparent plastic and the light-colored fibres.

Juma

This handle material is a hybrid material consisting of a mixture of different mineral based materials and a resin component. Each piece is unique as the structure and 3D effect are different for each piece.
